Pipe Bursting

Pipe bursting is a trenchless replacement method. A hydraulic unit pulls a bursting head through the old pipe, fracturing it into the surrounding soil while a new continuous pipe follows right behind. The result is a new line, often the same size or larger, without a trench the length of the pipe.

We replace sewer lines and laterals by pipe bursting across Middle Tennessee, including Nashville yards where a long trench would mean cutting trees, patios and driveways. We locate the line, plan the entry and exit pits, pull the new pipe and reconnect it to the house and the main.

FAQ

Common questions about pipe bursting

Is pipe bursting better than lining?

They solve different problems. Lining suits pipes that are intact. Bursting suits pipes that are collapsed, sagging or too far gone.

How much of my yard is disturbed?

Mainly two small pits. We protect the surrounding lawn and restore the pit areas.

Can the new pipe be bigger?

Often yes, one size up in many cases. We confirm after the inspection.
